Almost two decades ago a vision to provide theological education beyond the New Orleans campus was committed to prayer and God's leadership. Recognizing that the traditional approach to theological education was alone no longer sufficient, the Seminary's faculty and administration sought to remove the barriers that prevented many pastors and other ministers from receiving seminary training. This vision became a reality in 1979 as the Seminary's first off-campus training program began at the Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia.

Now with a campus located on Columbia Drive in Decatur, Georgia, the North Georgia Campus has over 400 students.

This campus' classrooms, in additional to faculty led classes, is connected via Compresses Interactive Video (CIV) to the main campus in New Orleans for "real-time" classroom instruction.

Recently, the Seminary's entire Extension Center program was moved and headquartered in Atlanta under the direction of Dr. Jimmy Dukes.
