Concurrent
with the programming worksessions, a facilities condition assessment was
conducted to determine renovation and/or replacement costs and recommendations.
The facilities assessment evaluated the architectural, structural, mechanical,
and electrical systems of each facility, as well as each facility’s occupancy
flexibility, regulatory compliance, and compliance with the American with
Disabilities Act. The assessment concluded that just under half of the campus
is in "good" condition and can continue under normal usage. 16%
of campus building area, however, is in need of complete renovation or replacement.
The remainder of the campus is in need of varying degrees of renovation.
