Charitable Gift Annuities
At New Orleans
Baptist Theological Seminary, a Charitable Gift Annuity can be
established with a gift of $10,000 or more. If you are over the
age of 62, in exchange for your gift to the Seminary (NOBTS),
the Seminary will pay a specified annuity to you and, if you wish,
another beneficiary. The payout rate is determined by the
age of the beneficiaries and currently varies from around 6.3
percent to 12 percent. Call the Office
of Development for the most current rates.
A portion
of the payments to beneficiaries may be tax free. If you
are over the age of 62 (minimum Gift Annuity issue age at NOBTS),
you begin receiving your annuity payments immediately. After
the beneficiaries are no longer living, the Seminary will use
your gift for the purpose you specified.
