Mid-Atlantic Region
  

The states included in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the New Horizons Campaign are: Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina Drs. Ed and Catherine Thiele, of Franklin, Tenn., will chair the Mid-Atlantic Region. Richard Land (Franklin, TN - Th.M. Honors, '72), Lonnie Shull (West Columbia, SC - Th.B., '61), Doug Rumley (Monroe, NC - M.Div., '86), J. K. Pierce (Lexington, KY - B.Div., '63), and Roc Collins (Gate City, VA - M.Div., '92; Ph.D., 2000) will serve with as co-chairs of the Mid-Atlantic Region. They will also have 25 vice-chairs helping them.

Ed Thiele recently retired as the director of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Seminary Extension, after retiring from NOBTS where he had been professor of discipleship and director of field education. Thiele earned his doctor of theology degree ('68) from NOBTS, where his wife, Catherine, earned a doctor of education degree in psychology and counseling ('90).
